(Source: Bernard Wolfsdorf) Immigration regulations require regional centers to show
every year that they continue to promote economic growth, improved regional
productivity, job creation or increased domestic capital investment in the
approved geographic area. To do so Form I-924A must be submitted to show a regional
center’s continued eligibility for designation. The application must be filed
within 90 days after the end of the fiscal year, which is on or before December
29th.
Therefore tomorrow December 29, 2015 is the last day to receive the I-924A. It must be filed by overnight courier or submitted by bonded messenger to arrive December 29, 2015. USCIS has been fairly rigid revoking regional center designation for those that do not comply in a timely manner.
Failure to submit the required information to USCIS, or failure to promote economic growth will result in the issuance of a Notice of Intention to Terminate the Regional Center (NOIT). A NOIT signifies USCIS’s intentions to terminate the RC’s participation in the program. If you operate a regional center and haven’t filed, you need to do so immediately. It is possible since we are located within commuting distance to the filing location that we might be able to assist with last minute filings.
