Since the EB-5 regional center program has been extended through the end
of September 2016, investors in China continue to benefit from the
current program, however many investors do believe this might be the
last wagon for them to stay with $500k investment. The proposed new
legislation would increase investment amount to $800k min. It is
expected that 2016 continues to be a very good year for EB-5 regional
centers that provide solid and good quality shovel ready projects to
investors. While Chinese migration agents are still promoting EB-5
projects to their clients, many agencies start exploring other
US-related services and products, such as selling real estate, promoting
medical tours, raising private equity funds, consulting on US insurance
policies, providing outbound executive training tours, etc.
