What lies ahead for EB-5 in 2015? Here are a few predictions in Chinese market

2015 is going to be another year with many uncertainties to alien investors who are interested in investing in EB-5 program. In the China market, it means the last wagon might be just arriving to a lot of Chinese investors. In the past two months, we have been traveling extensively in China, many migration agents are making strategic changes to their business, even some of the largest migration companies are exploring and offering alternative programs in Europe and other part of the world, EB-5 program is no longer on their top priority list. As the result of such business climate change, many new EB-5 project developers found difficult to sell their projects to migration agents, especially when there are a hundred or more competing projects in the marketplace.

Is the market going to be slowing down or eventually dead in China this year? Absolutely not!  The needs are definitely there, that is why migration agents are not giving up EB-5 business yet. In fact, after Chinese New Year, a peak season for EB-5 program will soon become real, before a possible Visa retrogression kicks in this summer,  a lot investors will give up shopping and finally sign up. In the month of March alone, there are three major events in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Beijing that will focus on promoting EB-5 immigrant investor program. If Visa retrogression occurs to mainland Chinese investors this summer,  a slow down is expected since migration agents will wait and see till the renewal of EB-5 regional center program in early October.
